Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks an IAM Architect to lead the design and implementation of global identity access management for the U.S. Department of State's DT bureau.

The role manages 24x7 worldwide operations, modernization efforts, ZTA adoption, security integration, and customer engagement across regions. You will shape enterprise IAM strategy, drive AI-augmented solutions, and mentor teams while aligning with NIST and government standards.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of technical experience.
• Experience in a government enterprise environment.
• Deep expertise in Zero Trust Architecture and NIST frameworks.
• Strong AD/Entra and cloud IAM experience for modernized environments.
• Experience with Okta, Ping, CyberArk and other IAM leaders.
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and secure authentication for cloud apps.
• Integration with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (SC-300 or similar) encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define outputs and adoption framework.
• Provide steady-state support for current IAM environment while modernization progresses.
• Define and evolve enterprise IAM architecture, strategy, and roadmap.
• Design secure, scalable, and automated identity solutions for service accounts and machine identities.
• Establish governance, lifecycle controls, and operational standards.
• Develop architecture artifacts, guidance, metrics, and reporting.
• Mentor and advise across the program.
