Job summary

Sims Limited, a global leader in metal recycling, is seeking an HRIS Analyst in Chicago to manage SAP SuccessFactors, build and distribute HR reports, and safeguard workforce data.

You will partner with HR, IT, and regional teams to implement reporting solutions, support system changes, and ensure data quality across the employee lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate SAP SuccessFactors reporting.
  • Technical experience with SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Advanced Excel and basic to intermediate Power BI.
  • Basic SQL knowledge.
  • Understanding of HR fundamentals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute HR reports and dashboards in SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Ensure data accuracy, governance, and security of HR data.
  • Provide technical support for SAP SuccessFactors and manage user access.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, regional HRIS teams to deliver reporting solutions.
  • Support system testing, upgrades, and continuous improvement.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled HRIS Analyst to join our Global HR team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and effective use of our HR systems and workforce data. You will support the administration, reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement of our SAP SuccessFactors environment while partnering with HR, IT, and business stakeholders across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
HR Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute standard and ad hoc HR reports and dashboards using SAP SuccessFactors reporting tools.
  • Deliver timely, accurate workforce data and insights that support business and HR decision-making.
  • Create meaningful analytics and reporting solutions to meet evolving business needs.
HR Data Quality & Governance
  • Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and security of HR data.
  • Perform regular data audits, validation activities, and user access reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance standards and external audit requirements.
HRIS Administration & Technical Support
  • Provide technical support for SAP SuccessFactors and resolve escalated system issues.
  • Manage user security, permissions, and system administration activities.
  • Coordinate ticket resolution with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
System Configuration & Continuous Improvement
  • Support approved configuration changes across SuccessFactors modules.
  • Participate in system testing, upgrades, and release activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, reporting capabilities, and business processes.
HRIS Operations & Data Management
  • Coordinate data imports, exports, and mass data updates.
  • Maintain foundation objects and key system data.
  • Support HR operational processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
Stakeholder Partnership
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, regional HRIS teams, and Shared Services to resolve system issues and deliver reporting solutions.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and promote effective use of HR technology.
  • Build strong working relationships across global teams.
Projects & Change Support
  • Participate in HRIS projects, enhancements, and system implementations.
  • Assist with requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.
  • Ensure changes are implemented in accordance with governance standards and best practices.
Required Experience
  • Intermediate SuccessFactors reporting
  • Technical experience with SuccessFactors
  • Advanced Excel
  • Basic to intermediate Power BI
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Understanding of Human Resources fundamentals, including core HR processes and data
Preferred Experience
  • Basic SQL knowledge.
  • Experience with HR analytics and dashboard development.
  • Experience supporting global HR systems and cross-functional teams.
Education
  • Associate's degree, advanced diploma, Level 4 certificate/diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Salary Range: 74,000 to 88,000
