Job summary

The Systems Analyst I at Thorlabs provides frontline support and foundational system administration for global HR technology platforms. You’ll work with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT, and external vendors to manage issues, configurations, and data integrity.

Based near Newton, NJ, you’ll grow technical and analytical skills, support implementations and reporting, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-moving, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years HRIS experience plus 3-5 years in business/HR
• BA/BS in Business, HR, Communications or related field
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
• Strong knowledge of HRIS, data reporting, auditing and managing large data sets

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for HR systems questions and support requests.
• Manage HR systems support queue; document requests, assess priority, troubleshoot, and resolve or escalate.
• Diagnose data, configuration, security, and workflow issues with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT and vendors as needed.
• Perform system configuration and maintenance, including workflows, security roles, notifications, templates, and data tables.
• Support system implementations, releases, enhancements, and testing; document and communicate readiness.
• Maintain system documentation and knowledge resources (articles, guides, FAQs).
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards; analyze trends to improve processes and data quality.
