Job summary

Stripe is seeking a People Operations Specialist, HR Compliance to join our Global People Operations team. This role focuses on complex operational challenges and continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle, ensuring seamless support, data-driven process optimization, and compliance with SOX and US employment laws.

You will partner with COEs (Legal, Employee Relations) and manage HRIS accuracy in Workday, while drafting clear SOPs and coordinating with external vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, operations, or related field.
• 3–5 years in HR compliance or People Operations with direct ownership of compliance.
• Knowledge of HR processes and employee lifecycle.
• Experience with external audits and cross-functional coordination.
• Experience with Workday data management and Salesforce or similar ticketing system.
• Knowledge of US employment compliance (I-9/E-Verify, EEO-1, state pay equity, posting).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work across COEs.

Responsibilities

• Audit and controls management across SOX, HR security controls, and external audits.
• Optimize HR processes using data-driven insights and recommend improvements.
• Manage regulatory filings and maintain filing calendars.
• Partner with COEs (Legal, ER, People Partners) to ensure compliance.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity in Workday, including changes and bulk uploads.
• Develop and document end-to-end SOPs for cross-functional workflows.
• Manage vendor relationships for background checks, poster services, and verification platforms.
• Navigate ambiguity and communicate blockers clearly.
