Stripe, Inc. is seeking a Risk Operations Analyst to ensure onboarding policies align with the needs of financial partners.

You will assess regulatory and contractual risk across various stakeholders and help build scalable processes to maintain compliance and mitigate risk. You will work with cross‑functional teams to identify gaps, improve detection systems, and advocate for policy enhancements while supporting Stripe’s mission to increase the GDP of the internet.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in risk assessments and operations or scaling in a high‑risk environment.
• Comfortable working independently under pressure and navigating ambiguity.
• Ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate across multiple stakeholders.
• Passion for identifying gaps and driving process/product improvements with cross‑functional teams.
• Working knowledge of SQL or other data analysis tools; ability to analyze data for patterns and insights.
• Deep empathy for entrepreneurs running a business and solving problems to empower them.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate sound judgement in high‑risk decisions and non‑binary scenarios.
• Evaluate merchants from startups to established institutions for suitability to process on Stripe.
• Adhere to processes while suggesting improvements and following up on implementation.
• Communicate clearly with Stripe users and financial partners cross‑functionally.
• Identify trends and report to cross‑functional teams to improve detection systems.
• Lead initiatives to enhance and optimize review processes, policies, and tools.
• Scale processes across the risk operations ecosystem.
