Job summary

Coder is hiring an HRBP to partner with our R&D leaders and serve as the international employment expert for the UK, EOR countries, and APAC. This foundational role supports our London entity buildout and collaborates with a London-based Generalist and outside UK counsel.

You will advise on ER matters across time zones, help design country playbooks, manage EOR relationships, and ensure compliance with evolving UK employment law while coordinating with Legal and Finance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HRBP experience with international exposure.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and EOR models.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS tools like Rippling and Deel.
• Comfort working independently across time zones and with cross-border teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with R&D leaders on performance, org design, employee relations, and people strategy.
• Advise on international ER and org changes under local law; coordinate with outside counsel for high-risk matters.
• Help build UK employment infrastructure with Legal and Finance: contracts, probation terms, right to work, leave, policies, benefits.
• Manage EOR relationships and plan path from EOR to direct employment in key markets.
• Track regulatory changes in UK and other EOR countries; flag risks and ensure compliance.
• Own performance, compensation cycles, promotions, and leveling with Total Rewards.
• Build repeatable country playbooks for new markets and maintain accurate data in HR systems.
