Job summary

Compass seeks a strategic Global Head of Human Resources to architect and lead HR operations for a large, globally distributed hourly call center team. The role emphasizes building scalable, remote-oriented People Operations in a high-growth startup.

You will manage recruiting, onboarding, performance, compensation, and retention at scale across multiple time zones, with a strong focus on data-driven decisions and HRIS optimization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR leadership, ideally within a BPO or fast-scaling remote startup.
• Experience managing a large, distributed hourly workforce across time zones.
• Startup agility and builder mentality in a high-growth environment.
• Operational mindset linking People Ops to business outcomes.
• Data-driven with workforce analytics to forecast talent needs.
• HRIS fluency; UKG knowledge is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee high-volume recruiting and onboarding across the US, LatAm, and the Philippines to meet client demands.
• Manage performance management, compensation planning, and retention strategies for hourly remote staff.
• Partner with operations and tech teams to integrate tools that streamline HR workflows.
• Navigate international labor laws, payroll complexities, and regional compliance.
• Lead evaluation, implementation, and optimization of HRIS tools.
• Drive asynchronous communication and remote engagement to connect a global team.
