Job summary

Nakupuna Solutions seeks an HIV Technical Advisor to support U.S. Department of State global health priorities and HIV programming under AF GHS. The advisor will provide global technical engagement, country-level assistance, and award management for prevention, care, and treatment programs.

The role involves technical guidance, data analysis, reporting, site visits, and collaboration with ministries of health, embassies, and partners to strengthen HIV program implementation and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in HIV prevention, care, and treatment and translating evidence into country programs.
• Experience with HIV programs supported by PEPFAR or similar donors preferred.
• Ability to develop and monitor performance metrics and milestones.
• Experience providing technical assistance to ministries and local partners.
• Experience coordinating with USG stakeholders and international partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide global technical engagement and country-level HIV services design and implementation.
• Review epidemiological and performance data to identify trends and risks.
• Develop guidance, tools, training materials, and capacity-building resources.
• Support award management and coordination with embassies on country implementation.
• Conduct site visits and monitoring for program progress and quality.
• Prepare Congressional reports and leadership briefings with accurate analyses.
• Disseminate lessons learned to inform country-level HIV policy and practice.
• Collaborate with Ministries of Health and donors to strengthen country capacity.
