Job summary

Motion Industries seeks a Health & Welfare Benefits Manager to design, administer, and ensure compliance of the US, Canada and Mexico benefit programs. This SME covers medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness and leave programs, partnering with HR Shared Services, Payroll, Finance and Legal to deliver compliant, cost-effective benefits.

Responsibilities include managing vendor relationships, leading annual benefit planning, analyzing claims and trends, ensuring ERISA/ACA/HIPAA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, finance or related field.
• 5+ years progressive health and welfare benefits experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the administration and ongoing effectiveness of all health and welfare benefit programs, including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, wellness, and leave programs.
• Manage the strategy, administration, vendor management, and continuous improvement of the Company's wellbeing program, including physical, emotional, financial, and social wellbeing initiatives.
• Integrate wellbeing strategies with health management, preventive care, disease management, and overall benefits initiatives to support a healthier workforce.
• Assist in leading annual benefit planning, renewals, and open enrollment activities, including project management, employee communications, testing, and implementation.
• Partner with brokers, consultants, carriers, and third-party administrators to evaluate plan performance, service levels, and cost management opportunities.
• Analyze claims, utilization, employee feedback, and market trends to identify recommendations that enhance employee experience and optimize benefit investments.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and Section 125 requirements.
• Coordinate required regulatory filings, notices, audits, and documentation related to health and welfare programs.
• Develop and deliver employee communications, educational materials, and resources to improve benefits understanding and engagement.
• Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits Operations teams to ensure accurate eligibility, enrollment, deductions, and reporting processes.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities by monitoring benefit costs and financial performance.

Education

Bachelor's degree in HR/Business/Finance or related field
