Job summary

Nakupuna Solutions seeks a GHS Lab Technical Advisor to support U.S. Department of State global health security priorities and foreign assistance programming under the America First Global Health Strategy.

The Advisor will provide day-to-day programmatic oversight and technical guidance for strengthening laboratory systems and networks to detect, report, and respond to outbreaks. The Advisor will support the design, implementation, and oversight of awards; support bilateral MOU implementation;

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in designing and implementing global health and multisectoral lab capacity-strengthening programs.
• Experience providing technical assistance and capacity building to country teams and partners.
• Experience engaging governments and partners to adapt U.S. standards to country contexts.
• Knowledge of biosafety, biosecurity, and ISO standards.
• Active Secret clearance required. TS/SCI preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and programmatic support for laboratory strengthening and MOU implementation.
• Design and support programs advancing U.S. global health security priorities and strengthen lab networks.
• Advise on multisectoral program components and engagement with government-to-government and private-sector partners.
• Contribute to design, metrics, and milestone-based approaches for laboratory activities.
• Develop guidance, tools, and training materials for outbreak detection and response.
• Monitor performance, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports and briefings for leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
