University of California seeks a Director of Operations to lead the Global Health Program. The role oversees day-to-day operations, budgets, awards and grants, and educational programming, while supervising staff and ensuring consistent, high-quality work products.

The position emphasizes developing workflows, SOPs, and stakeholder communications, with strong finance oversight and collaboration with the GHP leadership to enable growth and effective operation across multiple functional areas.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with managing complex financial systems, controls and budget processes in an academic setting.
• Experience developing, implementing, and reviewing SOPs for global educational programming.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills and ability to supervise a diverse staff.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple timetables and responsibilities.
• Ability to delegate, effectively supervise, and plan for timely completion of assignments.
• Master's degree in Business or Organizational Management (preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of related experience in a complex, university-based setting (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Provide operational leadership for the Global Health Program (GHP).
• Directly supervise staff supporting program activities.
• Oversee day-to-day operations including unit finances and annual budget.
• Oversee awards and grants programming and educational programming.
• Develop, assign, and oversee workflows and priorities; establish SOPs and ensure quality.
• Manage administrative resources and internal/external communications.
• Coordinate with the Director of GHP to grow and operate the program.
