Job summary

Jhpiego Inc. in Baltimore seeks a Program Officer to serve as the main programmatic contact for USG/DOS global health activities, coordinating across HIV, GHS, and maternal health initiatives and ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.

You will lead startup, implementation, and close-out activities, applying project management tools, monitoring budgets and subawards, and collaborating with country offices, with travel up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree i.e. MPH with 5 years’ relevant working experience.
• Certified in PM@Jhpiego or DPro; if not, complete within 60 days of hire.
• Proven experience managing public health projects of moderate-to-high complexity with USG funding.
• Knowledge of USG rules and regulations.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with diverse groups.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Office 365.
• Travel: Ability to travel 30%
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Responsibilities

• Leads & Proposals: generate leads for opportunities, support proposals, write budget inputs and project management narratives.
• Start-Up Activities: develop workplans and milestones, plan startup activities, ensure information flow.
• Implementation & Control Activities: review workplans, ensure DOS and Jhpiego PM tools compliance, monitor issues and progress.
• Close-Out Activities: manage close-out, conduct After Action Reviews, deliver final reports.
