U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) is seeking a Global Health Fellow to lead our strategy to advance U.S. global health as a cornerstone of American foreign policy and international assistance.

The Fellow will shape policy discussions, develop innovative recommendations, and drive thought leadership that strengthens USGLC's voice in health policy. Based in Washington, D.C., this full-time exempt role requires a seasoned policy professional with deep knowledge of U.S.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in foreign policy or related field.
• Master's degree in international relations or global policy required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. foreign policy and global health policy.
• Well-connected in Washington, D.C.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.

Job description

USGLC is seeking a Global Health Fellow to lead the organization's strategy to advance U.S. global health as a cornerstone of American foreign policy and international assistance. As the Administration implements its Global Health Strategy and Congress considers the future of U.S. global health investments, the Fellow will position USGLC as a leading voice in shaping policy discussions, developing innovative policy recommendations, and driving thought leadership that advances America's global leadership on health.

Working across USGLC and with policymakers, the private sector, implementers, and other influential stakeholders, the Fellow will identify emerging opportunities, translate complex policy issues into compelling strategies and messaging, and help build bipartisan support for effective U.S. global health engagement. This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader who can anticipate policy trends, convene diverse voices, and influence the national conversation on why global health investments advance America's security, economic prosperity, and leadership.

This full-time exempt position is based in Washington, D.C.

Primary Responsibilities

Thought Leadership, Policy Development & Strategic Communications

• Lead USGLC's thought leadership strategy on global health, identifying emerging policy challenges and opportunities.
• Develop innovative, actionable policy recommendations that strengthen U.S. global health leadership and inform Congressional and Administration decision-making.
• Produce compelling policy analyses, briefs, talking points, op-eds, and other strategic content that advances USGLC's education and advocacy objectives.
• Translate complex research, evidence, and data into persuasive narratives and policy recommendations for policymakers, business leaders, media, and external partners.
• Represent USGLC in public forums, stakeholder convenings, and policy discussions as a trusted voice on global health policy.

Strategy, Stakeholder Engagement & Coalition Building

• Partner with USGLC's Government Relations, Policy, Communications, and National Outreach teams to develop and execute integrated strategies that strengthen bipartisan support for U.S. global health investments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Congressional offices, Administration officials, think tanks, the private sector, advocacy organizations, and global health leaders.
• Convene stakeholders to generate new ideas, align strategies, and elevate shared policy priorities.
• Monitor the evolving global health policy landscape and proactively identify opportunities for USGLC to shape public debate and influence policy outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications, Requirements & Attributes

• At least 8 years of experience in foreign policy, government relations, advocacy, or a related field.
• A masters degree in international relations, global policy or a related field is required.
• Deep understanding of U.S. foreign policy, Congress, international assistance, and global health policy, with demonstrated ability to analyze complex policy issues and develop strategic recommendations.
• Demonstrated networks and relationships with the advocacy and policymaking community in Washington, D.C.
• Strong verbal communication, presentation and public speaking skills.
• Self starter, proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• An excellent writer who can distill complex policy issues and communicate them to broad and wide-ranging audiences.

COMPENSATION

A projected salary range of $85K-$110K will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The USGLC also provides a package of benefits, including health and disability insurance, retirement plan, paid annual and sick leave and federal holidays.
