Job summary

Sanofi seeks a seasoned Global Head, Science Partnerships and Funding (SPF) for Vaccines R&D to lead external partnerships and funding initiatives that accelerate the New Vaccine Portfolio. You will guide regional leaders, engage with funders, and align partnerships with vaccine strategy, quality, and compliance.

This leadership role requires deep scientific insight, strategic acumen, and the ability to operate across global teams in a dynamic biopharma environment, delivering impactful results

Qualifications

• , Ph.D. in bacteriology, virology, immunology, infectious diseases or related field; M.D. or Pharm.D.
• 10+ years of post-graduate work experience
• Experience in establishing public-private partnerships
• Resourceful and up-to-date on emerging partnership opportunities for Sanofi Vaccines
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills - ability to work with different levels and influence
• Agent of change
• Demonstrated team and negotiation skills
• Fluent English communication, verbal and written
• Ability to work in international settings

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global external partnership strategy across the value chain from Research to Industrialization.
• Lead and manage a high-performing global SPF team across regions.
• Develop and execute global/regional stakeholder engagement plans for funders and partners.
• Oversee grant submission processes and budget development with multiple Sanofi partners.
• Define KPIs, risk assessment, and mitigation plans for external grants and partnerships.
• Innovate funding streams and partnership models to support R&D and infrastructure investments.
