Job summary

Clarios, a leader in energy storage solutions, seeks a Global Supply Chain and Procurement Director to shape and execute sourcing strategies across a broad portfolio. You will partner with Sales, Finance, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and regional teams to align procurement with business goals.

This role drives supplier relationships, category strategies, and continuous improvement across global markets, including travel as required.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, operations, or related function in global manufacturing.
• Experience leading S&OP/SIOP and coordinating multiple functions across sales and operations.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies and managing suppliers across direct materials, electronics, contract manufacturing, or services.
• Experience with global suppliers across Asia, the Americas, and/or Europe.
• Understanding of manufacturing operations, costs, and commercial drivers.
• Ability to analyze commodities, materials, technology, labor, and logistics.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and supplier-management skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Forecast demand and develop supply plans to meet requirements, balance inventory, and coordinate S&OP.
• Develop and execute global category and sourcing strategies aligned with objectives.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships across categories including direct materials and services.
• Establish inventory policies, optimize safety stock, reduce excess/ obsolete inventory, and improve turnover.
• Manage transportation, warehousing, distribution, and on-time delivery while controlling costs.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to align production with demand and ensure material availability.
• Assess supply risks and develop business continuity plans; lead supplier risk mitigation.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze trends, develop dashboards, and present insights to leadership.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, supplier selection, negotiations, and award recommendations.
• Drive productivity, total cost of ownership, and value engineering initiatives.
