Job summary

Amperesand is seeking a senior leader for service and field operations to define and grow our service organization in the United States. You will own the service strategy, pricing of contracts, and the deployment of a scalable service network for grid-connected equipment.

You will lead service engineering, field service, and logistics, while driving fleet reliability analytics and executive-level reporting. A strong background in P&L ownership and MSAs/LTSAs is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in service, aftermarket, or field operations for electrical or electromechanical equipment.
• BS in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent depth.
• Direct experience with grid-connected equipment in commercial/industrial/utility environments.
• Track record building a service function or major new service capability from the ground up.
• Ownership of service or aftermarket P&L, including cost models and profitable contracts.
• Experience pricing and negotiating MSAs, LTSA, or availability guarantees, with outside counsel.
• Fluency in reliability and quality methods (Pareto, MTBF/MTTR, FMEA, 8D).
• Influence over product design for serviceability with executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Own Amperesand’s service strategy, offering tiers, coverage, and response commitments.
• Engage with prospective customers during due diligence to build confidence.
• Stand up service engineering, field service, commissioning, support operations, and logistics.
• Define which capabilities are in-house vs outsourced and manage third-party networks.
• Own service P&L, cost structure, and investments for growth.
• Develop tiered MSAs and cost models that are fully costed and recoverable.
• Implement a field service ticketing system with taxonomy, SLA clocks, and CRM/ERP integration.
• Lead service reviews with leadership, Pareto analysis, and fleet performance metrics.
