Job summary

ASM is seeking a Director of Business Development for Epi and Thermal ALD to drive global growth, shape market direction, and forge executive-level partnerships with leading semiconductor manufacturers.

You will own strategic roadmaps, influence product strategy with R&D, lead NPI programs, and coordinate with sales, operations, and finance to deliver bookings, margin expansion, and long-term profitability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in semiconductor capital equipment or relevant industry
• Deep technical and commercial experience with thin-film deposition
• Experience with semiconductor equipment sales, marketing, product management, or business development
• Proven leadership in developing business strategies and managing high-level customer relationships
• Experience influencing product roadmaps and leading cross-functional decision-making

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global growth strategy aligned with customer technology inflections, industry roadmaps, and ASM’s long-term portfolio objectives.
• Shape the multi-year business vision, including market prioritization, investment requirements, and partnership opportunities.
• Own competitive intelligence, customer insights, and requirements for next-generation platforms and processes.
• Lead product launch strategies from concept to commercialization, ensuring clear value propositions and global adoption.
• Develop and implement account and regional strategies to maximize market penetration and accelerate wins at strategic customers.
