Taylor Root is representing a leading digital media and subscription-based content organization seeking a Head of Privacy. This role oversees global privacy, cybersecurity, consumer compliance, and data governance strategy across a data-driven business.

The Head of Privacy will shape enterprise risk management, privacy strategy, and support innovation in a high-visibility company. A JD and NY bar admission are required with 15+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 15+ years advising on U.S. and international privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, and consumer compliance matters.
• Proven experience building and managing enterprise privacy programs within complex organizations.
• Strong knowledge of global privacy regulations, online safety requirements, and cybersecurity frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Lead global privacy compliance program and provide legal guidance on data collection, use, transfer, retention and governance.
• Advise senior leadership and cross-functional teams on privacy, cybersecurity, consumer protection, and data governance matters.
• Drive continuous improvement in privacy program maturity, risk management, incident readiness, and vendor governance.
• Develop and maintain privacy policies, standards, consumer-facing terms, and governance documentation.
• Oversee privacy impact assessments, risk assessments, audits, and corrective actions across jurisdictions.
• Provide legal guidance on digital advertising, ad tech, identity resolution, data clean rooms, and third‑party data partnerships.
• Negotiate data protection agreements and advise on third‑party risk management.
• Advise on consumer marketing, subscription, online safety, and related regulatory requirements.
