Job summary

Albert is seeking a technically strong and strategically minded Head of Infrastructure & Security to build and own our global infrastructure, reliability, and security function. This role sits at the intersection of cloud architecture, SRE, and enterprise security, reporting to the VP of Engineering and shaping the foundation on which Albert scales.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE, with senior leadership experience.
• Deep AWS expertise and meaningful Azure exposure for enterprise partners.
• Kubernetes at architectural depth, not just operations.
• Experience designing SLO frameworks and service reliability programs.
• Proven track record building global, distributed engineering teams.
• Strong security fundamentals: IAM, Zero Trust, network segmentation, and compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce a cloud architecture strategy across engineering teams with IaC tooling and monitoring.
• Own Azure and AWS interoperability and drive cost visibility with a FinOps mindset.
• Lead end-to-end security posture including SAST/DAST, WAF, SIEM, EDR, and ITAR/FedRAMP prep.
• Build a follow-the-sun SRE organization and define SLOs, error budgets, and service tiers.
• Develop incident response, disaster recovery, and post-mortem processes.
