Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Director of Financial Communications in Boston, MA to define and advance the companys financial communications strategy. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, finance or a related field.
• 12 years of communications, investor relations, finance or related experience, preferably within the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with a Japan-based global company and the capital markets in Tokyo is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, shareholder dynamics, investor relations practices, disclosure requirements and corporate governance considerations.
• Demonstrated experience developing financial narratives and communicating corporate strategy, business performance, and growth priorities to investors, analysts and other external stakeholders.
• Proven experience counseling and influencing senior executives, including CEOs, CFOs, and other C-suite leaders, on investor communications, executive visibility and stakeholder engagement.

• Lead Takeda's global financial communications strategy with a coordinated enterprise-wide approach.
• Serve as lead communications strategist to the CFO, developing executive communications strategies.
• Head Global Finance internal communications and support Finance Leadership Team.
• Partner with CFO/FLT on employee engagement and non-financial matters.
• Collaborate with Investor Relations to engage shareholders and analysts effectively.
• Define and evolve Takeda's growth narrative across earnings materials and annual reporting.
• Align communications with business units, R&D and brand messaging globally.
• Provide counsel on financial messaging, risk, and stakeholder perceptions.
• Oversee investor-related communications governance and disclosure practices.
• Lead and develop a high-performing global Financial Communications team.
