Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a senior leader to head Employee Tech & Experience (ETX) from our San Francisco headquarters. The role shapes ETX’s strategy, invests in capabilities, and turns new workstreams into measurable amplification across Helpdesk, SysOps, Logistics and AV.

You will build leaders, foster a culture where people feel valued, own meaningful work, and collaborate to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable services as the company grows. This is an in-office role based in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Lead ETX’s global growth across Helpdesk, SysOps, Logistics and AV with a shared strategy for employee outcomes.
• Elevate the employee experience through research and design, directing investment to simplify journeys, remove friction and amplify what employees can accomplish.
• Accelerate agent-led and customer-zero work as capabilities advance: challenge which workflows exist, extend end-to-end ownership and evolve the operating model for measurable amplification.
• Develop leaders who earn trust, grow others and sustain an environment where people feel valued, with meaningful ownership and growth opportunities.
• Scale global services to support company growth, with commitments to reliability, security, responsiveness and effective controls; measure performance by effort, service quality and time to resolution.
• Shape priorities and investment with leadership, accelerating execution across functions with adoption and measurable improvements in how employees work.
• Translate employee friction into lasting improvements in policy, service design and ownership; hold ETX accountable for restoring productivity and empathy.
