Job summary
OpenAI is seeking a senior leader to build and scale the Dedicated Support Engineering function globally. You will define strategy, build the team, and establish how we deliver technically rigorous, proactive support for enterprise workloads.
You will lead a high-performing global organization, hire senior talent, and establish expectations for depth, ownership, and collaboration across teams. This role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid work model.
Qualifications
- 12+ years in technical customer-facing roles with enterprise scopes.
- 6+ years leading enterprise Support Engineering or similar.
- Experience building and scaling dedicated technical customer programs.
- Ability to lead across regions and hire coaches.
Responsibilities
- Define strategy for Dedicated Support Engineering and growth plan.
- Hire, coach, and develop senior technical talent globally.
- Design the customer engagement model and account knowledge.
- Set standards for technical ownership and incident handling.
- Lead proactive reliability efforts and critical-incident responses.
- Influence product and engineering priorities with evidence-based guidance.
- Make AI and automation foundational to the function.
