Job summary

Elia Grid International (EGI) is expanding its U.S. interconnection leadership to drive strategic interconnection programs for major transmission and HVDC/HVAC projects.

The Interconnection Manager will oversee interconnection strategy, coordinate with ISOs/RTOs, utilities, and project teams, and translate study outcomes into actionable project decisions. The role requires 7+ years in interconnection management, strong knowledge of U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in interconnection management, transmission planning, or grid studies.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. interconnection processes and ISO/RTO procedures.
• Experience with interconnection applications, studies, and agreements.
• Familiarity with CAISO, NYISO, PJM, ISO-NE, MISO, ERCOT, or SPP interconnection processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the interconnection strategy for major transmission and HVDC/HVAC projects.
• Coordinate interconnection processes with ISOs/RTOs, utilities, transmission owners and other stakeholders.
• Prepare, submit and follow up on interconnection requests and study scopes.
• Review system impact and facilities studies and related cost and schedule implications.
• Translate study results into clear project implications for engineering and commercial teams.
• Support negotiations with ISOs/RTOs and utilities to align with project strategy.
