Job summary

Elia Grid International (EGI) is expanding its U.S.-based team to lead major interconnection and transmission projects. The Interconnection Manager will drive strategy, manage ISO/RTO coordination, and translate study results into actionable project decisions.

The role blends technical leadership with commercial and regulatory interface across utilities and developers. The position requires deep knowledge of US interconnection processes, 7+ years in the field, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required.
• Typically 7+ years of professional experience in interconnection management, transmission planning, grid studies or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. power system interconnection processes (ISO/RTOs) and utility coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead interconnection strategy, applications, study agreements and interface management.
• Coordinate interconnection processes with ISOs/RTOs, utilities and transmission owners.
• Prepare, submit and follow up on interconnection requests and study scopes.
• Review system impact and facilities studies, cost allocation and schedule implications.
• Coordinate with HVDC/HVAC leads, project managers and legal/commercial teams.
• Translate study results into project implications and risk assessments.
• Support RFP responses, due diligence and investment decision processes.
