Job summary

Astrolab, The Lunar Operations Company, seeks a Head of Government Affairs & International Partnerships in Hawthorne, CA. You will lead international government engagements, dual-use and defense growth, and convert relationships into signed MOUs, funded studies, and long-term programs.

You will partner with Legal, Trade Compliance, and Finance to ensure export-control compliance and lunar mobility roadmap alignment, coordinating with Growth and Civil Space teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of government affairs, international partnerships, or business development in space/defense/aerospace.
• Experience building relationships with DoD, international space agencies, or OSTP/OMB.
• Experience turning relationships into signed agreements or funded programs.
• Experience with government contracting vehicles (FAR, OTAs, Space Act).
• Experience applying ITAR/EAR to international engagements.

Responsibilities

• Originate and lead relationships with international space agencies and government customers with account ownership.
• Drive engagements to MOUs, funded studies, or service agreements with defined targets.
• Coordinate with Legal on export-control strategy for international engagements.
• Collaborate with Civil Space and Growth to align civil space strategies with partner interactions.
• Own defense/dual-use opportunity pipeline from concept to award and maturation.
