Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead generator service projects in the Charlotte area, coordinating with Tendering, GS SV, and regional teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. The role involves client meetings, change management, and reporting on costs, scope, and risk.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in engineering or related PM roles, 3+ years in generator/manufacturing environments, PMI/PM certification preferred, and up to 5% travel. U.S.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a non-technical field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Project Management or within Generator Product or Manufacturing.
• PM@Siemens or PMI Certification is preferred.
• 1-3 years of SAP experience is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all activities to ensure the on-time delivery of generator service projects, including major sub-components and full generator replacements.
• Collaborate with Tendering, Gas Services (GS SV), Proposals, and Region AM/ROW counterparts to clarify technical requirements and resources needed to meet order specifications.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal and external customers regarding all project-related matters.
• Support SEI GS SV and Region AM/ROW Project Managers in customer meetings and facilitate Customer Witness activities.
• Respond to requests for quotations and assist in negotiations for additional scope throughout the product warranty phase.
• Create Extra Work Requests or Project Change Notices, present them to customers, and execute change orders upon approval.
• Coordinate and review software and hardware deliverables, reporting on project performance, financial status, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Notify product line management when products or services do not meet order or contractual requirements, ensuring projects adhere to cost targets, scope, and schedules while taking corrective actions as needed.
• Act as an advisor to top management and business partners on technical matters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
