Job summary

Cleary Gottlieb is seeking a Practice Development Lawyer for the Global Funds group. This role focuses on knowledge resources, AI-enabled workflows, and training to support associates and partners in a global funds practice.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years as a funds lawyer, NY Bar admission, and an interest in KM, legal tech, and attorney development. Collaboration with business development and cross-team training are essential.

Qualifications

Three to five years of experience as a funds lawyer.
Admission in good standing to the New York State Bar.
Interest in knowledge management, legal technology, AI-enabled workflows, training, and attorney development.
Enthusiastic about developing junior talent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain the Global Funds group’s library of forms, precedents, checklists, research resources, practice guides, and other work tools, including AI/tech precedent databases, ensuring materials remain current, practical, and easy to use.
Lead evaluation and testing of new KM and AI vendors and technology providers, assessing output quality and identifying use cases and limitations.
Co-lead planning and delivery of Global Funds group training, onboarding and CLEs, and support associate development.
Collaborate with Business Development to support pitches, client meeting materials, and conference content.
Manage KM best practices and translate group priorities into practical training initiatives.
