Job summary

Cleary Gottlieb seeks a Practice Development Lawyer for the Global Funds group to manage knowledge resources, research tools, and AI-enabled workflows. You will collaborate with attorneys to refresh precedents, supervise KM channels, and evaluate new tech vendors, aligning with client needs and market practice.

You will co-lead training, assist associates, and support business development through high-quality materials and thought leadership, with NY Bar eligibility.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a funds lawyer.
• Admission in good standing to the New York State Bar.
• Strong knowledge of US funds law and related documents.
• Interest in knowledge management, legal tech, AI-enabled workflows, training.
• Enthusiastic about developing junior talent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, drafting, editing, and presenting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and project management.
• Collaborative, service-oriented, able to build credibility with lawyers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Global Funds library of forms, precedents, checklists, and research tools.
• Identify priorities for new resources and refresh projects.
• Administer and improve KM channels, intranet pages, and distribution lists.
• Lead evaluation of KM/AI vendors and precedent databases.
• Serve as quality-check resource for AI-assisted workflows and prompts.
• Support adoption of KM/AI tools through training and ongoing guidance.
• Co-lead training for Global Funds, onboarding, and CLE sessions.
• Collaborate with Business Development on pitches and client materials.
