Job summary

Responsibilities include generating bills of lading, arranging carrier pickups, performing TSA safety checks, coordinating import documentation, and providing market research and proposals for the sales team.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement High School diploma or GED.
• Thorough knowledge in international freight forwarding operations both Air and Ocean.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Forklift safety certification.
• Ability to use basic math skills to calculate freight, storage, duty and other charges.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate export/import operational activities for the branch.
• Generate air or ocean bills of lading and export documentation.
• Contact trucking companies to arrange pickups for customers' freight.
• Receive freight in warehouse and perform TSA safety checks.
• Label freight for export and book export shipments with air and ocean carriers.
• Close consolidations and coordinate import documentation pickup with airlines.
• Coordinate with Customs Brokers to ensure clearance in a timely manner.
• Provide quotations and market research to the sales staff.
• Generate proposals for the sales staff and assist with correspondence.
