Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in California is seeking a Finance Sr. Analyst to join the Operations Finance team, supporting senior leaders with data analytics, financial reporting and forecasting.

You will lead monthly close, build senior management reports and drive improvements in reporting, partnering with cross‑functional teams to enable profitable growth.

Candidates should have an advanced degree or equivalent, strong Excel, Oracle, HFM/CMR, SAC experience and a background in FP&A or Controlling.

Qualifications

• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience in FP&A or related field
• Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in FP&A or related field
• Experience in FP&A or Controlling

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly closing activities and ensure accurate reporting.
• Analyze consolidated financial views and produce senior management reports.
• Improve financial reporting knowledge across the site.
• Review monthly revenue, spending details and headcount and explain variances to AOP and Forecast.
• Support preparing annual operating plan and monthly/quarterly business reviews (MBR/QBR).
• Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis.
• Drive process improvements in reporting and analytics to boost productivity.
• Support CAPEX processes and participate in SOX/ statutory audits
