Job summary

EMERGING BLUE, based in Massachusetts, is seeking a Director of Operations to own product movement from overseas factory to US warehouses and customers across wholesale, DTC, and Amazon.

You will lead Global Supply Chain and Commercial Operations, driving demand-informed planning, freight routing, customs, and 3PL management.

In Year 1 you will deliver a stock plan, landed cost optimization, on-time orders, accurate product data, and strong partner performance.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years in operations, supply chain, or logistics leadership, ideally in footwear, apparel, or consumer products.
• Direct experience with international import/export, US customs clearance, and duty/tariff management.
• Hands-on fluency with Shopify, a WMS, and Amazon Seller Central; EDI and wholesale routing portals a plus.
• Track record managing 3PL, freight, and agency relationships.
• Experience at a growth-stage or founder-led company strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage the essentials buy plan across DTC, Amazon, and wholesale.
• Own freight routing, customs clearance, and tariff strategy.
• Ensure on-time outbound across DTC and Amazon and manage SKUs in systems.
• Oversee 3PL and warehouse data, returns, and packing compliance.
• Lead product data setup across Shopify, WMS, and Amazon.
• Audit partner invoices and renegotiate terms when needed.
