Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to develop and maintain labeling that complies with FDA, FSIS, FNS, and international regulations. You will provide regulatory expertise to internal partners and support labeling compliance and innovation from our La Palma, CA office.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years in food regulatory affairs, with Korean language skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Nutrition, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in food regulatory affairs, labeling, and nutrition compliance.
• Korean speaking/bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, approve, and maintain product labeling in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Review ingredients, formulations, processing procedures, analytical data, and claims for labeling purposes.
• Create nutrition facts panels in compliance with FDA and USDA labeling regulations.
• Provide nutrition labeling expertise to internal partners.
• Partner with Product Development, Marketing, Food Safety and Quality, and Packaging for new product development and label changes.
• Liaise with government agencies and internal partners to resolve labeling discrepancies.
• Research new product concepts to determine labeling requirements.
• Maintain accurate internal records to support labeling compliance.
