Job summary
Lindblad Expeditions is seeking a Fleet IT Support Specialist to deliver advanced technical support for onboard vessel systems, including hardware, software, and connectivity. You will work with the Fleet IT Director and Superintendent, prioritizing support and projects while traveling to ship locations to ensure operational continuity.
You will manage SATCOM systems (Starlink, OneWeb, VSAT), handle remote and on-site issues, maintain security standards, and develop documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
- CompTIA Network+ or CCNA or equivalent certification.
- 3–5 years in IT support/tech ops, preferably distributed/remote.
- Strong technical proficiency across enterprise systems and remote tools.
- Excellent English communication; customer-focused and calm under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary contact for fleet SATCOM systems (Starlink, OneWeb, VSAT).
- Provide remote and onsite IT support for vessel systems and networks.
- Manage support requests using Jira with SLA adherence.
- Install, configure, and maintain onboard hardware/software.
- Develop user training materials and system documentation.
