Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Science, Environmental Policy, International Trade, Public Policy, or related field.
• Demonstrated background in natural resource policy or management, with preference for fisheries/IUU knowledge.
• Excellent professional writing skills to explain complex regulatory concepts clearly.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for diverse domestic/international stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to seafood industry to ensure compliance with U.S. trade monitoring requirements.
• Respond to public inquiries via dedicated channels and troubleshoot import clearance issues.
• Develop clear compliance resources, guides, websites, and other materials for partners to understand program requirements.
• Lead stakeholder outreach, including workshops, webinars, and informational calls.
• Learn and utilize NMFS databases like ITDS and GSDS for data analysis and compliance.
• Support multiple trade monitoring initiatives across programs like Antarctic Marine Living Resources and Tuna Tracking.
