Job summary

Lakeland Fire + Safety is seeking a Product Development Specialist for the FIRE Division to drive development, launch, and lifecycle support of critical fire safety products.

The role partners with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales to ensure on-time delivery, regulatory compliance, and robust technical documentation. Strong collaboration and problem-solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field required.
• 3–5 years of experience in product development, engineering, technical product support, manufacturing, or product management.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• PPE, industrial safety, technical textile, or fire services industry experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of FIRE products throughout the product lifecycle.
• Coordinate product development projects on a global level with milestones and timelines.
• Work with cross-functional teams including R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, and Quality to support successful product launches.
• Assist in developing product roadmaps, project schedules, and implementation plans.
• Participate in product design reviews, prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
• Support continuous product improvements through customer feedback, field observations, and market analysis.
