Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant - International Reporting to lead month-end close, consolidate financials, and manage tax compliance for international entities. You will coordinate with global finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and drive process improvements.

Based in Tysons/ Virginia area, the role focuses on international subsidiaries, intercompany transactions, and statutory reporting, with a strong emphasis on SOX controls and transfer pricing alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; 5+ years accounting experience.
• Strong experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Ability to independently manage accounting and reporting responsibilities with limited supervision.
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for international entities.
• Prepare complex journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Review results, investigate variances and issues.
• Prepare reporting schedules supporting consolidated financial statements.
• Ensure accurate accounting per U.S. GAAP and policies.
• Coordinate close deliverables with international teams.
• Own financial reporting processes for international subsidiaries and branches.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare foreign currency translation and consolidation entries.
• Manage intercompany accounting, including reconciliations and settlements.
• Research and resolve international accounting issues.
• Coordinate local statutory reporting with external providers.
• Support new accounting standards for international ops.
• Identify and implement reporting improvements.
• Lead close and reporting process improvements.
• Develop standardized procedures across international accounting ops.
