Job summary

Ciena is seeking a Program/Project Manager to lead finance and accounting software initiatives. You will manage global, matrixed teams, apply Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid methods, and deliver complex SaaS solutions such as Oracle R12.X, Hyperion, and Anaplan.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and delivery excellence across onshore/offshore sites. Applicants should have 10+ years of PM experience in finance systems, and be prepared to coordinate across US and international

Qualifications

10+ years of project management experience in finance/accounting domains.
Experience leading globally distributed teams.
Experience with onshore/offshore delivery teams.
SAFe/PSM/PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee project status, resources, risks, milestones; apply change control and propose solutions.
Prioritize requirements with Business Functional Leads; estimate effort and resources.
Lead cross-functional teams; support delivery of configurations, integrations, builds and testing.
Manage daily activities of a distributed team across sites.
Input into vendor negotiations and manage vendors within contract terms.
Use Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid or FastFail methodologies as needed.
Ensure alignment to strategic priorities.
Coordinate with IT leaders for resource assignments and deliverables.
