Job summary

BCL Legal is assisting a leading AmLaw 10 firm in New York to hire an associate for its Global Finance team. The role offers the choice to specialise in fund finance or gain broader exposure to sophisticated financing transactions for sponsors, funds, and lenders.

You will draft and negotiate financing, security, and credit documents, perform due diligence, and manage transactions through closing while collaborating with clients and lenders across cross-border matters.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years' experience within fund finance, banking, structured finance, or investment funds.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and technical legal skills.
• Strong project management and transaction management capabilities.
• The confidence to work directly with clients and build long-term relationships.

The Role

As part of this firm's market-leading finance practice, you will advise clients on a broad range of fund-level financing transactions, including:

• Subscription credit facilities
• NAV financings
• Hybrid facilities
• GP financings
• Structured capital solutions for investment funds

You will also:

• Draft and negotiate financing, security, and credit documentation
• Conduct legal due diligence and manage transactions from inception through to closing
• Work closely with clients, lenders, banks, and other counterparties
• Take on meaningful responsibility and client exposure from an early stage
