• 3–6 years of relevant experience within investment funds, investment management or fund formation.
• Experience at a reputable law firm or recognised investment funds practice.
• Strong knowledge of alternative investment fund structures and associated legal documentation.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.

Responsabilités

• Advising investment managers, sponsors and institutional clients on the formation, structuring and operation of investment funds.
• Working across a broad range of alternative investment vehicles, including private equity funds, hedge funds, private credit funds, real estate funds and hybrid investment structures.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating fund formation documents and associated investment management agreements.
• Advising on regulatory, operational and transactional matters relating to investment funds.
• Supporting clients throughout the fund lifecycle, from initial structuring and fundraising through to ongoing operations.
• Gaining exposure to retail alternative investment vehicles, including business development companies (BDCs), interval funds and closed-end funds.
• Working directly with clients and senior attorneys on sophisticated domestic and international investment fund matters.
• Contributing to business development initiatives and the continued expansion of the Investment Funds practice.

LJW Solutions is delighted to be working with a prestigious, internationally recognised Am Law firm that is looking to appoint talented Investment Funds Associates to its rapidly expanding New York team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for ambitious attorneys with experience in investment management and fund formation to join a highly regarded, multidisciplinary practice advising some of the most sophisticated investment managers and alternative investment funds in the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising investment managers, sponsors and institutional clients on the formation, structuring and operation of investment funds.
• Working across a broad range of alternative investment vehicles, including private equity funds, hedge funds, private credit funds, real estate funds and hybrid investment structures.

Candidate Requirements

• 3–6 years of relevant experience within investment funds, investment management or fund formation.
• Experience gained within a reputable law firm or recognised investment funds practice.
• Strong knowledge of alternative investment fund structures and associated legal documentation.
• Experience advising on private equity, hedge funds, private credit or real estate funds would be particularly advantageous.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.

Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to communicate directly with sophisticated clients.

An entrepreneurial mindset, excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in developing long-term client relationships.

Eligibility to practise law in New York.
