Job summary

Amazon seeks a Sr. Acquisition Manager to lead end-to-end global film acquisitions for Prime Video and theatrical releases via Amazon MGM Studios.

You will build market-driven strategies, influence content decisions, and partner with Content Strategy, Business Affairs, Marketing, Finance, and Creative teams worldwide. You will leverage Excel analytics, develop financial models, and present findings to leadership while managing multiple high-stakes opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant work experience at a major media/production company or a top-tier firm/investment bank.
• Experience with Excel and end-to-end ownership of major deliverables.
• Clear and concise communication with leadership and stakeholders.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and business judgment.
• High attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations for global and regional film acquisitions.
• Develop data-driven business models and valuation analyses to support deal recommendations.
• Source film acquisition opportunities and assess creative materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align decisions with strategic objectives.
• Develop and own strategy documents and presentations.
• Evaluate acquisition opportunities qualitatively and quantitatively.
• Use customer behavior and usage data to inform decisions.
• Manage relationships with producers and agencies.
