Job summary

Software Placement Group seeks a Field Service & Commissioning Engineer to support full lifecycle of automated machinery, from FAT to on-site commissioning worldwide. The role combines shop testing with global field deployments, reporting to executive leadership.

The candidate will install and commission equipment, troubleshoot complex systems, and train operators while traveling internationally up to 70 days per year. Base salary up to $80,000 with per diem and full benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of verifiable experience commissioning, servicing, or maintaining complex electro-mechanical industrial machinery.
• Ability to troubleshoot automated systems and interpret multi-page schematics with minimal oversight.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site machinery installations, system integrations, and SAT at client facilities worldwide.
• Troubleshoot automated systems and interpret schematics to isolate faults.
• Download PLC/HMI software and verify logic in high-power environments.
• Schedule FATs prior to shipment and ensure zero-defect quality.
• Submit ECRs to engineering based on field insights for better designs.
• Oversee setup and electrical hookup for equipment at trade shows.
