Job summary

Connect-Force is seeking a Field Service Controls Engineer in Michigan with travel to support global commissioning of high-precision automation systems. You will design, program, and commission PLC/HMI controls, collaborating with mechanical engineers and project managers to bring complex equipment to life at customer sites.

You will read electrical schematics, perform tests and validation, and troubleshoot servo systems and networks while engaging with customers around the world.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on automation/controls engineering experience.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting with industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, debug, and commission advanced industrial machinery.
• Program and modify PLC and HMI controls systems.
• Work with mechanical engineers and project managers during machine development.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Perform machine startup, run-off testing, and system validation.
• Troubleshoot controls, servo systems, and industrial networks.
