Job summary

Oerlikon is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the Tri-State area (Connecticut, New Jersey, New York). You will travel up to 80% to customer sites to install, calibrate and service Oerlikon Metco thermal spray equipment and components, provide technical support, and coordinate with Systems Engineering and internal teams.

Responsibilities include installation, calibration, maintenance, testing of systems including robotic programming and vacuum systems, and the preparation of reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of electro-mechanical field service experience.
• Experience in thermal spray is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain and repair all Oerlikon Metco thermal spray equipment and components.
• Install, test and train customers on systems including robotic programming and vacuum interfaces.
• Prepare calibration reports and service reports per ISO standards.
• Complete daily timesheets, expense reports and customer reports.
