Job summary

Oerlikon Metco in the Tri-State region seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, calibrate and service thermal spray equipment at customer sites, with about 80% travel including international assignments. You will diagnose and repair electro-mechanical systems and train customers.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of field service experience in thermal spray, an Associates degree (Bachelor’s preferred), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of electro-mechanical field service experience with thermal spray.
• Willing to travel 80% including international assignments.
• Associates degree education required; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and customer relations.
• Vacuum system experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, perform safety inspections and training on all Oerlikon Metco thermal spray equipment and components.
• Install, integrate, test and train customers on systems including robotic programming, interfacing and vacuum systems.
• Test, analyze, and adjust precision electromechanical instruments; maintain components.
• Calibrate and adjust components and instruments to ISO standards.
• Perform safety inspections and ensure procedures comply with NEC, CGA and NFPA guidelines.
• Complete calibration reports and service reports with causes and resolutions; complete time and expense reports.
