Job summary

Amtec Staffing seeks a Field Service Technician to support customers through inspection, commissioning and on-site troubleshooting. The role requires traveling up to 80% and interfacing with clients, vendors and engineers to ensure successful installations and uptime.

Candidates should have PLC, VFD, data acquisition experience and be able to write technical reports. Siemens/ABB experience is highly preferred and travel logistics will be managed by the team.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive experience with PLCs, VFDs and industrial electrical systems.
• Knowledge of data acquisition, wiring and power equipment required.
• Experience with Siemens and ABB platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel up to 80% domestically and internationally; availability for weekends/holidays.
• Interface with customers, end-users, vendors and contractors.
• Assist with site inspections, start-up and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot systems on-site and remotely; repair equipment under warranty and non-warranty.
• Prepare and deliver technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel.
• Write and review field service reports for accuracy and clarity.
