AMETEK’s CAMECA division seeks a Field Service Engineer to diagnose, repair, and maintain advanced microanalysis instruments. You will install systems, perform site inspections, and train users to ensure optimal performance across locations.

Remote support and strong customer relationships will be key to success in this global role. We value engineers with 3+ years in field service, a technical degree, and a proven ability to travel up to 70%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
  • 3+ years of field service or technical support experience.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and electrical diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong customer focus.
  • Willing to travel extensively (70%); valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic analysis, troubleshooting, and on-site repairs of microanalysis instruments.
  • Routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Installations, including pre-delivery site inspections.
  • Train users on operation, maintenance, and best practices.
  • Provide remote support and cultivate strong customer relationships.
