Job summary

Core4ce is seeking a versatile Network Deployment Technician to support staging, deployment, and sustainment of a global enterprise network and security infrastructure. You will travel to remote sites to perform turn-ups, hardware refreshes, and cutovers, coordinating logistics and field operations.

The role requires hands-on routing/switching with Cisco/Ruckus, Palo Alto firewalls, and SD-WAN edge appliances, plus virtualization at edge and test/verification across multiple transports.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or verifiable eligibility to obtain one prior to employment.
• Travel documentation: hold an active U.S. passport and ability to travel internationally.
• Must obtain IAT Level II baseline certification within 60 days of hire (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA Security).
• 3+ years of hands-on enterprise network administration, deployment, or field engineering experience.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale enterprise rollouts or field hardware cutovers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute physical and logical network turn-ups at remote sites.
• Coordinate pre-trip deployment logistics: stage hardware, label cabling, arrange travel.
• Perform rack-and-stack installations, cable management, fiber runs.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, Ruckus ICX, and PAN-OS firewalls.
• Implement and validate SD-WAN edge appliances across multiple transport circuits.
• Configure VLANs, trunking, STP, LACP, and dynamic routing (OSPF/BGP).
• Deploy edge virtualization with VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or KVM.
• Draft site diagrams in Visio and coordinate pre-install conference calls.
• Schedule maintenance windows for cutovers and provide post-cutover escalation support.
