Job summary
RealmOne is seeking a Field Engineer to deploy and manage enterprise IT and communications infrastructure in support of global government operations. The role emphasizes hands-on installation, testing, and troubleshooting of Cisco routers, switches, and related equipment.
The candidate will conduct site surveys, execute installation plans, and provide technical leadership during field deployments while adhering to security requirements.
Qualifications
- 6+ years as a Field Engineer for IT infrastructure or network programs.
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience installing and maintaining Cisco network gear.
- Strong experience with structured cabling and fiber.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise network and communications equipment.
- Conduct domestic and international site surveys to evaluate facility readiness and develop installation plans.
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, servers, and supporting infrastructure.
- Perform system integration, operational testing, acceptance testing, and troubleshooting of installed equipment.
- Install, terminate, test, and certify CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optic cabling infrastructure.
- Train customer personnel in the operation, maintenance, and testing of installed systems.
