Job summary

In-Place Machining Company (IPM) is seeking highly skilled machinists to perform precision field machining for diverse projects across North America and internationally. Work includes setting up and operating specialized equipment at customer sites, maintaining tight tolerances, and collaborating with engineers and managers to craft innovative solutions.

The role demands 5+ years in manual or field machining, reading blueprints, and strong measurement skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manual machining and/or field machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications.
• Skilled in precision measurement using micrometers and inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, materials, speeds, feeds, and machining processes.
• Experience with rigging, hand tools, and power tools.
• Self-starting, adaptable, and capable of troubleshooting in the field.
• High School Diploma, GED, or HSED required.
• Technical degree or Journeyman certification preferred.
