Job summary

Exact Metrology: A Division of In-Place Machining Company is seeking a highly skilled machinist for field work across North America and internationally. Perform precision field machining at customer sites, read blueprints, and maintain tight tolerances in challenging environments.

You will travel extensively, operate Bridgeport mills and manual lathes, and collaborate with engineers and project managers while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manual machining and/or field machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Experience with precision measurement and inspection tools.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 5+ years of manual machining and/or field machining experience.
• Strong experience operating Bridgeport mills and manual engine lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications.
• Skilled in precision measurement using micrometers and inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, materials, speeds, feeds and machining processes.
• Experience with rigging, hand tools and power tools.
• A self-starter who can troubleshoot, adapt and succeed in the field.
• High School Diploma, GED, or HSED required.
• Technical degree or Journeyman certification preferred.

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Certification (provided)
• Valid Driver's License
• Forklift Certification/License (provided)
• IPM Overhead Crane Training Certification
• Willingness to travel extensively, including occasional weekends
• Comfortable using mobile applications for timekeeping, expenses and project reporting
